Project Life | Week 3

I think this is by far my favorite (scrap-wise) of the weeks in the album. I am so happy with all of the stitching, labels, memorabilia, and pictures in this one. I'm loving this process!

So... I am excited! Can you tell?!?  And... I am also excited that I am sticking with it (at least I've gone this far, right?) hybrid style (paper with printed out digi elements).

I am getting started on week 4 and I just made this cute word art for one of my 6x4 spaces in my album. I thought I'd share the file for you all to enjoy as well.  If you have a Silhouette machine you can download and use it for your album, too! :)

Project Life | Week 2

I was able to start and finish week 2's spread on Sunday. I'm VERY happy with how it turned out!

I spent a lot more time on this one than I did on last week's. Working on this album hybrid style has me thinking... should I switch to digital while it's still early in the year? I'm so used to digital scrapping (I haven't paper scrapped in almost 10 years). I'm kind of stuck. Don't get me wrong, I truly LOVE how it turned out, it's just a bit more time consuming. The only thing that has me swaying towards sticking with this way is the memorabilia that I can stick inside (no scanning necessary) and how I can use my sewing machine (totally fun!). Or, maybe.... I can do both hybrid AND digital. I have the 12x12 page protectors. I could do a page digitally, have it printed (which could take a while and that might annoy me having empty slots in my album) and stick them in page protectors.

Wait a minute... isn't this supposed to be a simple project?

Project Life | Week 1

I finished my PL's Week 1 last night and I'm very happy with it! I used a few goodies from the CT's I'm currently on to help with the journaling as well as Becky Higgins Cobalt Edition Core Kit.

What do you think?

If you're up for a freebie, stop by Emily's FB page and "LIKE" it if you haven't already. She has *the* cutest journaling cards that work perfectly with Project Life. As you can see I used one of them in mine. :)

Gina also has a freebie on her FB page as well. Woot! You get 2 freebies just for stopping by my blog! Scroll down on her wall and you'll find this after you "LIKE" her page.

Need some more journaling cards for your Project Life album? Look no further because Gina has some more adorable colorful ones for sale in her shop...

Aren't they awesome? I'm loving all of the bright & funky colors!

So last night, as I was about to write on those cute journaling cards that came in my core kit, I knew I had to use a really cute font from my computer instead of my, not so crazy about, handwriting. So I just opened up Photoshop and winged it. The first time didn't print right where I wanted it to. The second time I was lucky. I don't want to worry about wasting anymore so today I found THIS tutorial.  Genius! You're welcome :)

For Week 2's spread, I'm going to be incorporating some of my Instagram photos.  Can't wait to see how that turns out!

Title page. Check!

It took me an entire day to finish my title page for Project Life but that's only because I had to run back to Costco and get some prints that I needed AND because I kept going back and forth on what to do. I thought this was supposed to be easy and simple? Well... it is. But I can't seem to make it that way. Ha! I am having a lot of fun designing it though. I have been using my new sewing machine to stitch up some of the cards along with hand sewing it as well. I'm loving this process. Here it is...

It's so hard to take a picture of these pages because of the glare you get from the page protectors. I'm off to work on Week 1 now.  ツ
